Tigers roar past Eagles
FAIRVIEW, Mich. — Tuesday, the Fairview Eagles girls varsity volleyball team were searching for their third win of the season. However, they didn’t get the result they wanted. The Eagles couldn’t keep up with the Alcona Tigers, losing 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-12) in a North Star League showdown.
Leading the charge for the Tigers was Lily Bilbey, who recorded 10 on the night. Rachel Layton added 14 digs and Ashlyn Gordy finished with seven aces.
Both teams return to action this Thursday. Alcona (3-3-9) will square off with Atlanta, while Fairview (2-4) will head to Vanderbilt High School to take on the Yellow Jackets.
