Covid exposure linked to Alcona football game
LINCOLN, Mich. — A person who attended the Alcona vs. Marlette football game on September 25 tested positive for COVID–19. The person wore a mask and was socially distant during the event, so the exposure is deemed a low risk to others who attended the game. Alcona was notified that one football player is in self–quarantine due to close contact over the weekend to a confirmed positive case. The district canceled practice Monday for the football squad as a safety precaution. Athletic Director Dan O’Conner says Alcona will continue to monitor the situation and follow guidelines from health officials.
As of now Alcona’s football game Friday against Rogers city is still on.
