Miss Mermaid Michigan makes top 10 in national competition
OSCODA, Mich. – Last week we introduced you to miss mermaid of Michigan – Elyssa Steward from Oscoda.
This week we’re learning just how well she placed in the national Ms. Mermaid USA Competition.
Steward says it was a great experience. Steward said she placed in the top ten.
She spoke on behalf of the Michigan Organization – Need Water Now during her conservation panel.
She reached thousands with her message.
“We reached thousands of people this weekend through need our water,” said Steward. “Our booth was right next to the stage where the pageant was taking place so almost every photo that was taken during this event has now in the background which is reaching thousands and thousands of people.”
Steward said this experience has produced more opportunities.
She was recently hired in the Aqua Mermaid Performance Group where she will make an appearance in the South Haven Michigan’s Mermaid 2021 MegaFest.
