Ladyjacks 2021 softball season comes to an end

DEARBORN, Mich. — All good things must come to an end. That was the case for the Alpena Community College softball team on Friday. The Ladyjacks played two close ball games, but it wasn’t enough to advance to the district finals.

In game one, the Ladyjacks couldn’t get the bats alive. The Hawks blanked the Ladyjacks, winning 2-0. Riley Alexander and Jade Schultz each recorded a hit for ACC. Schultz pitched a strong game on the mound, allowing two runs on six hits. She also finished with six strikeouts in six innings of work.

The Hawks went on to take game two, winning 2-1 in extra innings. The Ladyjacks finish the 2021 season with a 17-20 overall record.
