Traverse City West tops Alpena volleyball in four sets

Alpena (September, 18, 2018) — The Wildcats were on the hunt for their second Big North Conference volleyball win and the Traverse City West Titans were just a little bit more polished on Tuesday night.
The Titans took the early 1-0 lead after winning set one 25 to 17, but the Wildcats clawed back to win set two 25 to 19. Alpena’s defense kept the Wildcats alive, but TC West topped the green and white 3-1. Head Coach Kolby Andrews was proud of his team.
“When they get on their heels it’s hard to get back out of it,” said Andrews. “My girls fight and even when they have to claw back and tie a match up, if the other team gets a point we are coming back with one of our own. We’re going to go deep into a lot of games because the girls are fighting for everything.”
The green and white are now (1-3) in the BNC.
