Curling is coming to Northern Lights Arena
ALPENA, Mich. — Curling is coming to Northern Lights Arena! The Thunder Bay Curling Club will be putting together a Mini Season for the first four Sundays in December. Members of the Detroit Curling Club were offering curling lessons to members in and outside of the Alpena community at Northern Lights Arena. Community members learned how to properly release the stone and to sweep when the stone is moving on the ice.
“The best part of curling is the people,” Bret Jackson said. “Curling is a great community and it’s something that brings people together. You have to work together.”
