Au Gres-Sims — Wolverines senior Brianna Freehling will continue playing softball next season after signing with Delta College on Wednesday. The utility player and catcher will be a quick asset to their squad. Freehling will contribute speed and can lay down bunts and get on base.
She loves playing softball and is excited to move up to the college level just an hour away from home.
“I chose to go to Delta because it was just kind of an easy way and and it’s going to be an easy transfer for me from Au Gres to Delta,” said Freehling. “Small community. I know a couple of my teammates. I played travel ball with one of them through Ogemaw Outlaws, so I signed with her. The coach is awesome. I really clicked with both of them.”
Freehling receives her training schedule once high school comes to an end. Then she will meet the team in August.
