Sunrise Mission and Rebel Roots Hair Studio Provided Free Haircuts To Alpena Residents.
Sunrise Mission offered free haircuts and beard trimmings to residents of the Alpena community
“We have five hairstylists that are professional and very experienced that are coming in to offer haircuts and beard cuts, to various members of the community, including some of our residents” said Michelle Bailey, Executive Director of Sunrise Mission.
These hair care services were provided by Rebel Roots Hair Studio and were open to all members of the public such as: law enforcement, college students and other area non profit agencies.
“We’re looking at ways that we can come together and offer some services that will benefit those who could just use a haircut, a beard cut and in the future, other things and services as well” said Bailey.
Sunrise Mission is fully funded by donors and grants and serves residents in the counties of Alpena, Alcona, Presque Isle, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego, Cheyboygan and Crawford. They help provide these eight counties with food, shelter, clothing and other basic living necessities.
