Alpena MI – Today we saw more sunshine in the area, temperatures responded with highs reaching the upper 40s some spots made it into the 50s. Temperatures were 5-15 degrees warmer than 24 hours ago. For tonight it will be mostly cloudy, can’t rule out a possible flurry in the area with lows in the 30s. Winds will be calmer out of the west at 5-10 mph. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with a couple showers in the area, again can’t rule out a possible flurry in the area with highs in the 40s. A cold front will past through the area late Friday into Saturday cooling down temperatures for this weekend. We’ve seen our share of rain over the last few weeks and because of that our drought monitor shows that our viewing areas is no longer in the abnormally dry category. We are on track when it comes to our rainfall. Temperatures early next week we will see above average temperatures according to the temperature outlook. High temperatures could get close to 60 degrees for Wednesday and Thursday.
