Wildcats roll past Falcons

ALPENA, Mich. — The Alpena Wildcats volleyball team wins their final regular season game at home as they swept Ogemaw Heights in three sets (25-21, 25-16 and 25-23). Edie Zann paced the Wildcats with nine kills, five digs and a couple of blocks. With the victory, Zann just wants to keep the momentum going as they’re a week away from competing in Districts.

“We’re going to work very hard in practice this week,” said Zann. “We think we can go far and compete with anyone.”

Allie DeRocher also finished with nine kills and she recorded two aces and five digs. Emma Dockrill had eight kills and Kate Skiba finished with seven kills.

The Wildcats play their final regular season game on Wednesday as they travel to Petoskey to take on the Northmen. First serve is at 6:30 p.m.
