ALPENA, Mich. – Despite some May snow flurries, golf course owners felt a little warmer on Friday. After governor, Gretchen Whittier’s latest executive order cleared the way for the use of golf carts.
The executive order also loosened some COVID–19 restrictions on outdoor businesses, which included golf courses. The order allows the use of golf carts if proper social distancing practices are in place. Golf shops can open, but only for curbside pickup. Outdoor food and beverage services, excluding alcohol, can also resume.
