Universities move to online classes only

ALPENA, Mich. — In response to growing concerns about the coronavirus outbreak, several Michigan colleges and universities have announced they are moving classes online after spring break, which ends later this month.  The move follows the decision by other universities across the country, including Duke University in North Carolina, UCLA and USC in California that have also transitioned to online learning in response to the outbreak, which the World Health Organization is calling a pandemic.

In Michigan, schools that have announced online classes only, include Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, Central Michigan University, Wayne State University, Oakland University and Michigan Tech University.
