T-shirts and sunscreen weather over the weekend
High temperatures Friday got up to 76 degrees in Alpena and 75 degrees in Saginaw, Michigan. Notice the warmer temperatures out to the west, where Minneapolis had a high of 85 degrees. That warmer air is heading our way for the weekend.
High-level cloud cover rolled in from the south, giving a milky appearance to the sky Friday afternoon. Cloud cover will decrease overnight. We will see plenty of sunshine over the weekend.
Temperatures will become warmer over the weekend. Highs will reach about 80 degrees Saturday. Sunday, temperatures will rise to the middle 80s. Make sure you have plans to stay cool and well hydrated over the weekend. Highs will warm to the upper 80s Monday. Then winds will shift out of the north and bring cooler temperatures Tuesday.
Saturday: Sunny. Early-morning temperatures will drop to about 56 degrees. Afternoon highs will get up to near 80 degrees. Evening temperatures will cool from the middle 70s to upper 60s.
Sunday: Mostly sunny and warmer. Early-morning temperatures will begin close to 59 degrees. Temperatures will rise to the upper 70s in the late-morning. Afternoon highs will reach around 86 degrees. Evening temperatures will go into the lower 80s and 70s.
Monday: Mostly sunny and nearly hot. Predawn lows will be near 62 degrees. Late-morning temperatures will climb to the upper 70s. Afternoon highs will heat up to about 88 degrees. Evening temperatures will remain quite warm, in the lower 80s and 70s.
