Chance of spotty showers Tuesday, colder temperatures move in

High temperatures Monday afternoon warmed to 87 degrees in Alpena, 84 degrees in Rogers City, Michigan and 81 degrees in Tawas City, Michigan. A weak cold front will move through Tuesday, bringing cooler temperatures into our area.

Cloud cover will increase from northwest to southeast and a few spotty showers/thunderstorms will be possible in the morning-afternoon. Rainfall will not be significant, and stay isolated. Any chance of showers will diminish late Tuesday and we’ll see sunshine around on Wednesday.

Dew points will remain in the 60s through the first half of Tuesday, continuing to feel muggy. Then humidity levels will drop Wednesday, dew points lowering to the 50s will make it feel less humid. It will continue to feel comfortable Thursday. Humidity levels will increase again for Friday and Saturday.

Tuesday: Spotty shower or thunderstorm possible, otherwise some sun. Early-morning lows will head down to about 63 degrees. Afternoon highs will reach close to 78 degrees. Evening temperatures will cool the 60s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and less humid. Predawn temperatures will drop to near 55 degrees. Afternoon highs will get up to about 76 degrees. Evening temperatures will go into the 60s.

Thursday: Chance of scattered showers/thunderstorm beginning around midday. Early-morning temperatures will begin close to 54 degrees. Afternoon highs will reach about 77 degrees. Evening temperatures will head to the 60s.
