Rain moves out late tonight; Winds pick up Saturday

A low pressure system near the Wisconsin-Michigan border is spreading rain into Northeast Michigan. Late tonight, the cold front currently in Wisconsin will move through our area. This will usher in stronger winds from the northwest.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy and breezy. Winds will be coming from the northwest at 15-20 mph. Early-morning lows will be close to 60 degrees. Late-morning temperatures will be in the middle 60s. Afternoon highs will get close to 72 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be in the middle 60s.

Sunday: Partly cloudy and less windy. Temperatures will start in the lower 50s predawn. Late-morning temperatures will be in the lower 60s. Afternoon highs will reach only 69 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be in the lower 60s.

Monday: Partly cloudy. Early-morning temperatures will be in the lower 50s. Temperatures will be in the lower 60s in the late-morning. Afternoon highs will get up to 73 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be near 70 degrees.

Stiff winds from the northwest will keep temperatures cool Saturday, highs will be in the lower 70s. Light winds out of the north will maintain cool temperatures Sunday, highs will be only in the upper 60s. Winds will shift out of the south Monday-Tuesday which will bring in warmer temperatures. Highs in the upper 70s are forecast Tuesday and Wednesday.
