We’re starting the New Year with a familiar face and a new one for this week’s installment of Pet’s Of the Week, featuring Pedro and Juno. Both of these pals are the perfect mix of energy and cuddles and can’t wait to find a new home soon!

Our newest friend at the shelter is a four and a half year old Spaniel mix named Pedro.  With Pedro, you get the best of both worlds, as he is a dog that loves to run and play but also snuggle and give kisses, once he’s had his activity in for the day. He is quite the charmer, with a beautiful black coat and delicate curls on his ear fur. Pedro is already up to date on his vaccinations, dewormed, and is neutered.

A former Pets of The Week guest still looking for a home is Juno. She’s a stunning husky mix and at five years old, she’s fully grown and full of love! Juno has a lot of energy and loves to jump, run, and play—making her the perfect hiking buddy. She’s quite the catch, but has been at the shelter since April, and needs someone willing to work with her on socialization, as she can be a bit shy. Once she’s warmed up to you and got her energy out, she loves to cuddle up on the couch and snuggle with you. Juno is up to date on distemper vaccine, is spayed, and dewormed.

If you’re interested in a new family member to start of this New Year, be sure to check out Pedro and Juno. Both dogs require a meet and greet with any pets in your household if you are considering adopting. To learn more and get to know these sweet dogs, you can call the Alcona Humane Society at 989–736–7387 or visit them at 457 W Traverse Bay State Rd in Lincoln.
