Local Marijuana Dispensary Gives Back to the Community

Local businesses have been looking for ways to give back to the community that support them, and Puff Cannabis of Oscoda is doing a kids winter coat drive. The Store Manager, Cheyenne Johnson, said, “So we are collecting Jackets for Jeter’s to make sure that our community stays warm. Any winter jacket, from the ages 3 to 12, you’re able to redeem a free Baby Jetter so we can help our community and keep our kids safe and warm for the season.”

Oscoda is not the only city that Puff Cannabis is doing the Jackets for Joints in. All seven locations in Michigan are participating in the kids winter coat drive, with each Puff Cannabis location giving back to the local area.  Johnson said, “We’re all about community and we want to be able to get back as much as we possibly can. Like I said, we donated the 2000 turkeys for Thanksgiving.” She added on, “We wanted to be able to do something for Christmas, and the best way to do this was to give back to our community as far as the children go to be able to keep them warm, and because we all know we’re not as fortunate as the next person.”

Puff Cannabis as a company has made tremendous strides in giving back to the community after opening in the Metro Detroit area, then spreading throughout the state with a store even in Traverse City. Talking about Puff Cannabis’s willingness to give back, Johnson said, “Right, we’ve always been about community. Personally, Nick has been a great, great, great owner as far as wanting to give back, and not asking anything in return. She continued on, “With Justin Elias on board too, has made things 10 times better to be able to get that outreach to people, to be able to give back more than what we ever could have.”

The Jackets for Joints promotion started December fifth and will run until the 18th. Customers can visit any of the seven Puff Cannabis locations, bring in a new jacket for a three to 12-year-old kid, and they will receive one jar, valued at $50, of “Baby Jeeter” pre rolls.
