Alpena MI – Last night and early this morning we saw snow and a little freezing rain in the area, so spots picked up a couple inches out of the system. However because of the temperature being above freezing some of the snow that fell melted and could be a problem for roads if temperatures fall below freezing because the melting snow could turn into ice which could become slippery. Tonight we will mostly cloudy with areas of fog developing in spots with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Tomorrow we will see areas of fog early in the morning, otherwise cloudy skies with highs in the lower 40s. Later in the week we will see a cold front come through and temperatures will drop back into the 30s. If you’re wondering if spring is coming or not, you will have to wait 49 more days.
