Alpena MI – For tonight we will have partly cloudy skies, a little haze along with it lows will be in the lower to mid 50s. The haze is due to wildfires in Grayling and in parts of Canada. The winds from Canada is driving the smoke into our area making the sky look milky and hazy. Winds will be coming out of the northeast at 10-15 mph. Tomorrow will be cooler as a cold front comes through the area with temperatures in the low 70s. We are still not seeing much in the way of precipitation this week and because of that we will be facing another fire weather watch of your Tuesday; this will be from 12pm to 9pm for tomorrow so avoid burning if all possible. If you are going out for your Tuesday make sure that you are in the shade or have sun screen with you, sunburn is very likely especially late in the morning and early afternoon hours according to the UV index.
