Few showers possible early Thursday and at night; Warmer temperatures arrive

High temperatures today reached 72 degrees in Alpena, 81 degrees in Green Bay, Wisc., and 83 degrees in Minneapolis. Winds from the west-southwest will bring warmer temperatures into our area, as of Thursday.

Scattered showers over the Upper Peninsula will continue traveling toward the southeast. There will be a chance of spotty showers early Thursday, then also Thursday night.

Thursday: Early showers possible, partly cloudy in the afternoon. Predawn lows will be near 60 degrees. Temperatures will rise to the lower 70s in the late-morning. Afternoon highs will reach about 84 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be in the upper 70s.

Friday: Warm and mainly dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Early-morning temperatures will start in the lower 60s. Late-morning temperatures will be in the lower/middle 70s. Afternoon highs will warm into the middle 80s. Early-evening temperatures will be in the upper 70s.

Saturday: A mix of sun and clouds through midday, then a late-day risk of showers or thunderstorms. Early-morning lows will be in the middle 60s. Late-morning temperatures will rise to the lower 70s. Afternoon highs will be close to 84 degrees. Early-evening temperatures will be in the middle 70s.
