Avery Dubey Breaks Wildcats Girls Basketball Career Three-Pointer Record

ALPENA, MI – The Wildcats girls basketball team hosted a make up game with Inland Lakes on Monday night. Avery Dubey took full advantage of the matchup as she broke the program’s three-pointer record to lead Alpena to a 68-29 victory.

The Alpena Wildcats (6-5) added another game to their three-game winning streak. Not only did Dubey break the three-pointers career record, but she also tied the all-time three-pointers made in a single game finishing with seven. Alpena took the lead early in the first quarter. Reese Wisniewski scored nine points, while Dubey followed with eight. The duo led the Wildcats to a 24-9 lead after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the senior guard racked up another two three-point baskets. The Wildcats went into the half leading 38-16 against the Bulldogs. Alpena went on to defeat Inland Lakes by a final score of 68-29. Dubey led in scoring with 24 points and Wisniewski followed close behind with 20 points.

The Wildcats host Petoskey in their annual Pink-Out game on January 26 at 7 p.m.
