Alpena Weather – May 17, 2018
Today’s weather peaked with gorgeous sunshine and a high of 58 degrees, about seven degrees cooler than normal. In Alpena, winds out of the northeast kept the temperatures cool, but a few places away from Lake Huron reached highs in the mid-60s.
Tomorrow’s weather will be similar with sunshine all day, and a breeze out of east at 10-15 mph. Expect high temperatures near 60 degrees in Alpena, it will be a few degrees warmer inland, but only getting into the 50s along the lakefront.
Clouds will increase Friday night, as moisture from the Ohio Valley region moves northward. As a result, a few showers are possible Saturday.
After a chance of showers on Saturday, clouds will remain overhead on Sunday and it will be a few degrees warmer. In the extended forecast, I am watching a small chance of showers late Monday and early Tuesday, though both of those days should be mainly dry.
