Alpena Weather – May 18, 2018
Our sunny streak of weather is about to come to an end. Showers will spread over the area Saturday morning, as a low pressure system over Kentucky moves northward. A separate low pressure system over Minnesota will bring a few showers to parts of the Upper Peninsula.
Temperatures will only reach the upper 50s around Alpena with the clouds and showers around tomorrow. The showers should clear during the evening, and the clearing trend will continue into Sunday.
On another note, sunset is now after 9:00 p.m., and sunset will remain after 9:00 p.m. through the end of July. In the extended forecast, a warming trend is in store. Highs will reach the mid-60s on Sunday, and temperatures in the 70s will return by midweek.
