Alpena Jets 8th Grade Team Defeats Ogemaw Browns in Home Opener
The Alpena Jets 8th Grade Youth Football team had their home opener against the Ogemaw Browns on Sunday afternoon.
On a 4th down, Zach Orban punts it to Cody Jameson, but a hit from Jacob Jacques knocks it loose and Kaden Rivard recovers. Jets force the turnover.
On their next possession, Orban would fake a handoff and keep it himself. He would go up the right sideline and sneak into the end zone for a touchdown, Jets lead early, 6-0 after a failed two point conversion try.
Jets would force another turnover and get the ball back, Orban would keep it himself again, but this time go up the left sideline. He would go untouched into the end zone for his second rushing touchdown of the day. Jets led it 12-0.
After yet another turnover, Orban had all day to throw, pump faked once, and delivered a throw to a wide open Julius Cousineau for a touchdown.
The Jets poured it on the rest of the way, as they defeated the Browns, 36-0.
