TBSM contract renewal

ALPENA, Mich. — The Alpena City Council decided not to extend its contract with Thunder Bay Shores Marine.  The current contract expires at the end of August 2021.

Several months back the city put TBSM on notice regarding several concerns.  A couple of those included operations and contractual obligations.

Harbormaster Shannon Smolinski attended the meeting and stated that it has become apparent that after working with TBSM, they do not share a mutual vision for what the marina can become.
