Warm & Wet Saturday, But Snow For Sunday

Alpena MI – Today we were under mostly cloudy skies, temperatures made it into the upper 40s. Rain is on the way for your Saturday then colder air on Sunday with snow in the forecast. Tonight we will have mostly cloudy skies, rain will develop later with lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph. Tomorrow we will approach record breaking temperatures with showers in the area throughout the day with highs in the upper 50s. The record for the date on December 9th is 59 which occurred back in 1946. However, a cold front will pass through the area later on your Saturday and temperatures will drop quickly into the lower 40s and snow will become a possibility in the evening and overnight. For Sunday it will be snow showers in the area and colder with highs in the middle 30s.
