Unclear When Paint on Downtown Alpena Intersection Will be Cleaned
For weeks, a mess of yellow paint has been splattered in the middle of a busy intersection in downtown Alpena.
Found at the corner of Chisholm and Second Avenue, the paint has created quite an eyesore. Early on, drivers had complained to the city that it had spread onto their vehicles. The city is awaiting the department of transportation’s solution to the mess.
According to MDOT, there is no clear timetable as to when it will be removed, but they’re currently working on a solution. They want to choose the least destructive way possible given it’s location, and that could mean something as simple as power washing.
