The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Is Making Its Debut At The Alpena Civic Theater

The Alpena Civic Theater is premiering its annual holiday show, this year they have chosen to put on The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, inspired by the popular novel written by Barbara Robinson. The play is directed by Doreen Kriniak, Dani Ayotte and the board president of the Alpena Civic Theater, Julie Meyers.

“Alpena Civic Theater is once again doing its annual Christmas show and it’s just a little half hour, forty minute play that involves thirty one local children age four up to fifteen,” said board president Julie Meyers.

Children of various ages in the community have teamed up to bring the production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever to life. “It’s a nice, feel good Christmas story and when you have thirty to thirty one kids, anything can happen so you have to kind of be prepared for that,” said Meyers.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is having its first performance on Thursday, December 7th at 6pm and its other showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 6pm followed by a 1pm matinee on Sunday, December 10th. If you can’t catch any of those showtimes, the play is running the following week the 14th through the 16th at 6pm and its final performance is Sunday, December 17th at 1pm.

General admission for the play is $5 a ticket. If interested in attending the show, call 989-354-3624 to find out more.
