The 5th Down: Week Eight
There is only one more week left of the regular high school football season. WBKB Sports made the trip to several schools in the area to cover all of the highlights from week eight.
The Alpena Wildcats (1-7) had a close game at home versus the Escanaba Eskymos (2-6). Alpena took the late 28-25 loss to Escanaba. Next week, the Wildcats host the St. Johns Red Wings (3-5) on October 20.
The Alcona Tigers (7-1) hosted the Rogers City Hurons (4-4). Alcona took the dominating 66-0 victory over Rogers City. Coming up, the Tigers host the Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals (3-5) and the Hurons welcome in the Hillman Tigers (1-7) on October 20.
The Posen Vikings (7-0) kept their undefeated streak hosting the Atlanta Huskies (3-5). The Vikings defeated the Huskies by a final score of 64-16. Posen visits the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines (7-1) on October 20.
The Oscoda Owls (3-5) welcomed in the Boyne City Ramblers (4-4). Boyne City took down Oscoda by a score of 28-0. Coming up, the Owls host the Frankfort Panthers (6-2) on October 20.
