Sunrise Adventure Bicycle Tour Offers Scenic Route Through Northeast Michigan

Called the Sunrise Adventure Tour hosted by the League of Michigan Bicyclists, the three-day event is a trip along Lake Huron through forested roads and past historic lighthouses.

While many people attempt tours like these in the western part of northern Michigan, the northeast area offers a unique experience. The event used to take place around Father’s Day, but the League of Michigan Bicyclists decided to move it closer to the end of summer. “It’s a little calmer. It’s not crazy with traffic, but the natural assets are what make this ride so unique and amazing too,” said Neal Glazebrook, event director with the League of Michigan Bicyclists. “The flora, the viewpoints, and the landscapes–getting out there to the lighthouses is just amazing.”
