Presque Isle Township Fire celebrates with open house
PRESQUE ISLE, Mich. — With a high of 84 degrees, plenty of people wanted to cool off on Sunday. And who better for dealing with heat than the fire department?
After a COVID hiatus, the Presque Isle Township Fire Department brought back their annual open house.
From noon to 3 PM, firefighters offered tours of the facilities and equipment. Kids got to try a miniature fire hose and climb up inside the trucks.
And everyone was invited to have a hot dog, freshly served on the grill.
2021 marks the Presque Isle Township Department’s fifth year of operation, as well as its first year of independent operation.
