Alpena MI – Today temperatures were colder, highs struggled to make it to the teens today. We also saw lake effect snow showers today as winds were coming out of the north at around 10-15 mph with additional higher gusts at times. Tonight will be mostly cloudy and colder with a few lake effect snow showers passing through the area with lows in the single digits to subzero readings and with the winds it will feel like it’s below zero. Tomorrow we will have snow showers in the area early, otherwise mostly cloudy and continued cold with highs only in the teens and with the winds it will feel even colder. Highs will be in the teens. This weekend it will be cold for Saturday but for Sunday it will be warmer. The next 5 days we will begin a warming trend; temperatures will rise into the 30s and even 40s for next week. The temperature outlook tells us that we will be above average for the next 6-10 days.
