Meyers Road special assessment project to begin Wednesday, July 15
ALPENA, Mich. — Work will begin Wednesday, July 15 on Meyers Road in Alpena Township. The Alpena County Road Commission advises that the existing pavement will be resurfaced and drainage will be improved, including ditching and new culverts.
The project is a special assessment project, which the adjacent property owners have agreed to support. The total estimated cost for the improvements is $145,000. Property owners together with Alpena Township and the Road Commission are sharing the cost. The road projects will be closed to through traffic during construction.
The project is set for completion on September 28, 2020.
