Local Fire and Safety Equipment Store bought

ALPENA, Mich. — Great Lakes Fire and Safety Equipment, which has done business out of Alpena for more than 30 years, will now operate under the CertaSite brand.

All nine current employees at the South State Ave company will continue working and join the CertaSite family, according to CertaSite. The family business has operated off of South State Avenue and will remain in that location.

“We are proud of the team we built, and the reputation we earned over the last 30 years,” said Tammy Buiva of Great Lakes. “We fully believe that under CertaSite, our customers will continue to experience excellent customer service and will benefit from advancements like online customer portals, inspection management and reporting, expanded service areas, life safety maintenance programs, and multi-location support with a certified expanded life safety technician workforce.”

This is CertaSite’s sixth acquisition in Michigan.
