Home invasion suspect faces 7 count felony
ALPENA, Mich. — Allan Jerome Hughes, 28, of Wyoming, Michigan faces a seven-count felony in connection to a home invasion in Alpena on April 27. Hughes was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona following a week-long search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Hughes and a second man broke into a home on Second Avenue and demanded valuables. When the victims did not comply, the suspects beat the male victim with a hand-gun.
The Alpena County Prosecutors office issued a seven-count felony warrant for Hughes’ arrest on Friday, April 30. The following charged offenses are all felonies:
Count 1: Robbery – Armed – Serious Injury
Count 2: Home Invasion – 1st Degree
Count 3: Unlawful Imprisonment
Count 4: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Felonious Assault)
Count 5: Weapons – Dangerous Weapon – Carry with Unlawful Intent
Count 6: Weapons – Firearms – Possession by Felon
Count 7: Weapons – Felony Firearm
The investigation is ongoing and police are searching for the second man.
