Bay Athletics Club Continues Thinner Winner Contest
There’s still time to sign up for Bay Athletic Club’s Thinner Winner Contest.
Since 2009, this contest has helped people in the community lose weight and pursue a healthier life. Started in 2009, the competition has left people with a sense of accomplishment, whether or not they win the grand prize.
In teams of four two six, they do their best to lose weight together. “We want to help our community live healthier, live happier, and lose weight together,” said Trina Gray, owner of the Bay Athletics Club. “Each year this helps us lose more than 1,000 pounds and 1,000 inches as a community. We want to help people kickstart healthier habits.”
When the competition is over, many of the participants keep up their habits and continue to live a healthier lifestyle. “In six weeks you have kicked off a much healthier fall, and we know that so many people keep their habits up and keep their habits for a lifetime,” said Gray.
The contest has shown results. It’s also including two of the club’s trainers. “Sarah Wetherhult, she began her Thinner Winner journey in 2019,” said Gray. “That first challenge, that first community weight loss challenge, led her on a 180 pound weight loss journey.”
Registration runs until September 30, and it’s a $50 fee for members and a $100 fee for guests. The grand prize winners will receive $1,000 for losing the most weight and the most inches.
