Art industry receives aid
ALPENA, Mich. – Aid is on the way to nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in Michigan.
Impacted by COVID–19, the arts industry has faced challenges with cash flow and resources to support their workforce.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation announced the launch of a new program providing grants up to five thousand dollars to Michigan’s arts and cultural organizations.
Funds can be used for salary support, facility costs and fees for artist.
The deadline for application submission is 5 PM on May 1.
Distribution of grants are expected to happen no later than June 1.
