Alpena Police still investigating home invasion
ALPENA, Mich. – It’s almost been a week since we first reported of a home invasion in Alpena.
DPI was this is the last place police saw the two men accused of invading a home and assaulting a man last Tuesday.
Alpena Police say two Black males forced their way into a home on South 2nd Avenue where they demanded valuables and hit a man with a gun.
Those men then left the home where police followed them when the men abandoned their gray car and ran behind DPI.
During a search police were able to find two guns on Miller street.
WBKB was able to speak to Alpena Police Chief Joel Jett and he told the news team that “the situation is still ongoing as they are looking into every lead possible.”
Alpena police do not believe the community is in any immediate danger.
