Alpena Man Charged After Threatening Teenagers with a Knife

An Alpena man is facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening to stab teenagers.

According to the Alpena City Police Department, 43-year-old Stephen Miller was asking the teens for beer but became angry when they couldn’t get it for him. He then took out a knife and threatened to stab them. The teenagers ran away and called police who quickly found miller walking on Bolton Street and arrested him.

Miller faces charges of felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon, and resisting and obstructing police. They carry a max penalty of 15 years due to habitual offenses. He is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
