Alpena High School celebrates National Teacher Appreciation

ALPENA, MI. – Alpena High School is showing love to their staff this week for National Teacher Day.The role of an educator is one that dedicates their career to shaping the next generation of youth.
AHS is staffed with teachers with that exact goal in mind.
“I think teachers are able to have influence on students because it is just another person to believe in them daily. Someone who sees where they are at and sees where they could be help them bridge that gap. Having the right person in that position is important.” said AHS teacher, Trevor Roznowski.
The influence or support of a teacher could stick with you throughout your lifetime. The staff at AHS prioritize education and building lasting relationships with students.
“I’ve had a lot of great moments this year, but I think what stands out the most are the relationships I have with the students. Without those relationships, it is hard to have really strong learning. Once you have that foundation, you can build on top of it.” said Trevor Roznowski.
This week serves as a reminder to educators that they are making an impact on the lives of the students they invest in.
