Alpena High Hockey Prepares for Season Opener
ALPENA, MI- In high school sports, seniors usually mean success. Luckily, for Coach Ben Henry he has 10 of them ready to lead the Wildcats in the 2022-23 season.
Leadership is a gift for any coach, he knows that this year that the loudest voices in the room are leading the team the right way.”I don’t have to always be in the locker room, I don’t always have to be around the kids.” said the Henry. “They know what is expected and they make sure the message gets across.”
Senior Captain Anden Marceau is one of those leaders and he is optimistic about where the team is with the opener days away. ” We had a good run at tryouts and we have been working hard,” he said. “We want to win the first one and get the momentum going.”
The Wildcats open the season on November 18 as they host Hancock Central at Northern Lights Arena. The game begins at 6:00 p.m.
