Alpena Chalk it up event rescheduled this weekend

ALPENA, Mich. – Alpena’s Downtown Development Authority is giving people a second chance to “Chalk it up” this weekend.

After getting rained on in June, the DDA decided to reschedule their family friendly event.

You can “Chalk it up” downtown on Saturday July 24 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Families and people of all ages can come downtown and leave a bit of artwork, an encouraging message or a bit of color in three locations.

In case of rain Saturday, the event will be cancelled and will return in summer 2022.
