ACC Van Lare project update

ALPENA, Mich. — You may recall our coverage back in August of the renovations taking place at ACC’s Van Lare Hall.  The project was stalled along the way because of COVID-19 but they are getting closer to completion.

ACC President Dr. Don MacMaster said it has been a complicated project because of the staging involved but adds despite the challenges, they have made significant progress. MacMaster said those familiar with Van Lare over the years will recognize the community space.  He remarks about the new space being more vibrant and inviting with loads of natural light.

Some administrative staff are temporarily working in an already renovated space until theirs is complete.  One staff member said it will be difficult for her to move back to her old location.

According to MacMaster,  the plan is to have the renovation project completed by fall of 2021.
