ACC Baseball Signs Grant Slater and Marc Kirchner
ALPENA, MI – It was a big day over at Alpena Community College as Grant Slater and Marc Kirchner both signed to the Lumberjacks’ baseball program.
The players were surrounded by friends, family and future teammates on Monday afternoon. Head Coach, Rob Enslen, has been hard at work recruiting new talent to join the Lumberjacks. “With them both coming from the Big North conference,” he said. “They’re going to make a huge impact on our program.”
Kirchner is an Alpena native who is thrilled to a part of ACC’s 2023 roster and he hopes to make an impact during his time as a Lumberjack. “It feels good to be a part of the new program,” he said. “I’m excited to be a part of it here in the future.”
Slater hails from Petoskey and felt being a part of a growing program was something special. “You can’t really say you’ve ever helped a team grow,” he said. “It’s kind of cool to be a part of it.”
The ACC Lumberjacks kick off their baseball season on March 17 against Owens Community College.
