County Fair kicks off quietly
ALPENA, Mich. — It was a quiet, but crucial day at the county fairgrounds.
Saturday was the first day of the County Fair, and that meant the 4H Club was hard at work lodging and weighing live animal submissions.
For the next few days, kids will get to show off the birds, bunnies, and other animals they’ve raised over the past year, leading up to the auction on Friday.
4H supervisor Sienna Samp said she’s very proud of this year’s results.
