City of Alpena reaches agreement
ALPENA, Mich. — The city of Alpena reached an agreement with the City of Alpena Department of Public Works of the Technical Professional and Officer Worker’s Association of Michigan.
One of the highlights of the agreement is a wage increase of 2 percent in 2020-21 and 2.25 percent in 2022. The city is also giving the afternoon off on New Year’s Eve and a $200 signing stipend for each year of the contract
There will also be a $400 stipend for technician one employees.
The term of the new agreement is set to begin July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2023.
