Motorists to soon access car charging station

ROGERS CITY, Mich.—Motorists will soon see a new addition to the parking lot between Third and Fourth Street located in Rogers City. The Downtown Development Authority is in support of an electrical charging station in the city.

In case of a dead battery, motorists will be able to charge their vehicles and get back on the road within an hour. The station only supports electrical cars and can be located through the electrical charging station app.

According to Rogers City Mayor Scott Mclennan, the electrical station would be the only one in Northeast Michigan. The EV Build Power Company is heading up the project and will soon seek grant funding to build the station.

The station is projected to be up and running late fall of this year.
