17th Annual Wedding Event Bridal Expo Held at the Aplex

A bridal expo was held on Sunday at the Aplex, an opportunity for couples–to–be to get a convenient look at putting together their wedding.

Future newlyweds turned out to get a look at all sorts of different wedding related vendors, from where to get their cake, to who they should have DJ–ing their special night. It’s a convenient way for the bride, groom and family to find what they need.

The event was sponsored by Glitz and Glamour Bridal and Gifts, and co–owner Cathy Wilson, who has put together the event each year, started it with the hope of taking some stress off of the families. “It’s easier when you have everything that you can choose from all in one place, then they can go from vendor to vendor, see the flower shop, the place that makes the wedding cakes, and the caterers, the DJs, they can choose of what they like, and it’s easier instead of having to go to ten different places,” she said.

Weddings are often beautiful, magical, and full of love. The planning for those weddings, however, might be anything but that. The goal of this event is to make the planning part of it fun, too. Wilson said the event was just that, and that it was a huge success. “We’ve had a great turnout, and we appreciate everybody coming to see us, and coming around and seeing what everybody has here to offer,” she said.

The event had food, music, and fun for everyone who decided to come out.
