Whitmer announces initiative for wireless EV charging infrastructure
LANSING, Mich. – Michigan could make history by having the first wireless charging infrastructure.
Governor Whitmer announced the new initiative Tuesday while at the states Motor Bella event.
A wireless charging roadway would accelerate the transition to all–electric vehicles in the state, and beyond.
The governor said she will work closely with M-dot and other agencies to create a plan for the project.
She said it will create new opportunities for businesses and high–tech jobs through the transition to electric vehicles.
