West Branch Takes Down Alpena in Little League Battle
The Alpena 11-year-old tournament team hosted a pool play game tonight against West Branch looking to grab its first win of the District 8 11U tournament.
West Branch relief pitcher Brendyn Peiffer led his team, coming out of the bullpen to get West Branch out of a 3rd inning jam.
Alpena’s Kolby Ross had two hits on the night and struck out the side in the fourth.
Alpena trimmed the deficit to 10-8 in the 5th, but a play by Peiffer at second would end the threat.
West Branch would go on to win 12-11.
